Thank you for your interest in the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) and its programs!

Thank you for your interest in applying to present a training during USGIF's 2026 GEOINT Symposium! Applications will close September 17, 2025.

The Symposium is slated for May 3 - 6 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, Aurora, CO.

Training sessions present a unique opportunity for GEOINT subject matter experts to share their knowledge and educate attendees through one-hour training sessions focused on various aspects of GEOINT tradecraft, including applications, policy, technology, and methodologies. These sessions are designed to provide forward-thinking, cross-sectional training and are intended to be purely education, avoiding commercial promotion.

While we allow specific organizational software, hardware, and tools for short case study demonstrations, presenters should limit organizational promotion to one introductory slide. We will reject all sales pitch presentations.

Presenters must be USGIF individual or organizational members. Presenters must be available to present any time during the three days of GEOINT programming - once time slots are assigned and sent, there is very little "wiggle room".

Once applications close, USGIF's selection committee will review each application. We will notify you with the review outcome by mid-October*. If selected, USGIF provides one complimentary registration per training. The trainer is responsible for their own travel and accommodations. Any additional co-presenters must register individually or use organization-designated registration slots to participate.

*Applicants should expect to receive primary communications from USGIF about the status of their submissions through USGIF's Submittable account.

USGIF will also host two virtual information sessions for interested scholarship applicants during the 2026 open application timeframe. Applications will open January 9, 2026 and close April 5, 2026.

The information sessions are optional and intended to provide applicants with direct insights from USGIF’s education staff regarding things like application requirements, award eligibility, and best practices, and feature open Q+A with the team. These sessions are not recorded.

The first session will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 12 p.m. ET

The second session will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 12 p.m. ET.

Please use an email address you check to sign up - this is how the meeting link will be shared.
